Halloween is consider as the scariest day of the year. Nobody can imagine Halloween without pumpkins for jack-o-lanterns and decorations. The pumpkin is most often
associated with Halloween, but there are other fruits and vegetables which has a very strong connection to this holiday. In England and Ireland, Halloween lanterns were originally carved out of turnips and large beets and faces of demons were cut into vegetables.People carried these lanterns and placed them by their doorsteps to frighten away evil spirits.
When Irish immigrants arrived in America, they found pumpkins abundant and much easier to carve than turnips so the tradition of turning pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns began.
In the Victorian era the apple played a significant role in determining a young girl’s future: she slipped an apple under her pillow on Halloween eve so she was sure to dream of her sweetheart.Apples were also used to foretell the identity of the man she was to marry. At midnight on Halloween a girl would stand in front of a mirror and brush her hair three times while eating an apple. It is said the image of her future husband would appear in the mirror over her shoulder.
In Mediterranean countries rosemary was placed over the cradle of babies to protect them. It was often burned with juniper and thyme as a means of cleansing the room of bad spirits and witches. Rue was hung from doorways and windows to ward off evil spirits to prevent them from entering the house.
Salvia, also known as meadow sage, was considered a symbol of immortality and was planted on graves in cemeteries to symbolize eternal life.

The twilight episode: "A game of pool".
I never watched the twilight episodes , but this one was interested and i really like it. The great Fats Brown is a long time death pool-shooting legend and nobody believes he can be beaten. On the other hand Jesse, pool-shark, believes he is the best player on the world even better than Fats Brown but how he can't prove it when the guy is dead. One night, he is pissed and he yells out his problems into a empty pool room and the call goes out to the long dead Fats Brown who comes back to earth and accepts Jesse’s challenge. Fats Brown doesn't want to play for money, he instead offers Jesse a real winner take all stake; if he wins, he lives to tell about it. If he loses, he loses his life. Jesse ultimately learns that even being a legend has its price when he wins the game only to find that after his own death he must constantly prove how good he is by playing the living players, like himself, for the duration of his eternity as a kind of a sentence.
The twighlight zone.
This movie is about a Henry Bemas who works for the bank as a teller. He is a "nut- reader", and he reads at work instead of doing his job, because his wife doesn't let him read at home. He is so crazy that he reads anything with the letters on it. One day at the job he had walked down to the vault to get some privacy with his reading, and later he found out that something horrible happened to the world. The H-bomb exploded on the outside when he was reading article about the H-bomb inside the vault. He was the only one who had survived this catastrophe. First thing came to his mind was to take his life away, but hes eyes cached the label with words "public library" on it.That automatically changed his mind, and he got excited about it. Now nobody was in his way to read all the books on this world, and he had all the time to read all these books in his entire life. At this point he was the happiest human being on this world. But evil didn't finished his work yet. What he didn't expected was that his glasses had completely broken, and that was the and of the world for him. I didn't really like the end because it was very cruel to him. I didn't like his wife acting as she hide the book from him and then with a smile let him open the book to read it, and when he opened the book all text was destroyed.I like the beginning of the movie as he couldn't count the money to his customer. At this point everything looked like real life to me, but at the end it was very sad and unreal.
