crocodiles vs. alligators
Some people think that alligator or crocodile is a same animal but they think wrong. The truth is they are quite different.Alligators have a very broad, wide snout, and crocodiles have a narrower snout and jaw. Also crocodiles often have a lower tooth that juts out noticeably,while an alligator's fourth tooth is hidden. They have been considered villainous, man-eating monsters for centuries. Are they really so dangerous? The answer is yes. Alligators are actually "not" known for being aggressive toward man unless nesting or unexpectedly disturbed, but crocodiles do and have killed humans.The Nile crocodiles are known for the large number of human fatalities they cause every year. The best thing is never to approach one, even for a good “shot” with a camera.

halloween
The movie was about how Halloween became such a tradition. It began 3000 years ago in Ireland.Halloween is a mix of ancient Celtic practices, Catholic and Roman religious rituals and European folk traditions that blended together over time to create the holiday we know today.It is considered to be the scariest day of the year.Halloween has long been thought of as a day when the dead can return to the earth, and ancient Celts would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off these roaming ghosts.Halloween began to lose its religious connotation, becoming a more secular community-based children's holiday. Although the superstitions and beliefs surrounding Halloween may have evolved over the years, as the days grow shorter and the nights get colder, people can still look forward to parades, costumes and sweet treats to usher in the winter season.
public tennis courts in NYC
I live in part of Queens called Woodhaven. I have walking distance to the public tennis courts there. The courts are in devastating condition for more than 4 years. Some of the cracks on the court surface are so big as a size of tennis ball, and anybody can easilly get hurt. Despite of this condition the people who work for the city are checking for the permits, and lock down the place after certain time. Permits are not cheap and the cost of permit is $100. People were signing petition 3 years ago and asking to fix these courts.Nothing happened till now. The courts are under the construction, so I had found another place to play this beautiful game. I was very surprised because about 5 miles from Woodhaven is Highland Park in Brooklyn and there is 14 tennis courts in very good condition.But listen to this. This courts have even a lights for night play and nobody is asking for permits there. How is this possible that in Queens people have to pay $100 for playing and in Brooklyn not? Both are public tennis courts in NYC. How is Mr.Bloomberg doing his job?
salmon fishing
Every year make a trip to Salmon river at Pulaski . It is a small town in NY state, approximately five hours by car from NYC towards Canadian border. The river at the time is packed with fishermen,and for the whole day you hear "fish on" and "fish off". I like it. I get up at 6AM and after I got back to the motel at 6PM, I have slept as a baby. Despite of excitement of fishing, the danger of drowning is still there. I felt into the watter myself and I was scared to death. The watter is very cold there so wearing the neoprene suit is needed. Some guys have ended the day without the fish, but many of them were more lucky. The fish gives a big fight and many times escapes from the hook.I love the feeling of the power on my rod when the fish is trying to escape. I can hear my heartbeat some times, and the fight can last up to 10 minutes or more. I hope that there will be the fish for another hundreds of years so me and my Friends can always go there and have some good times.
autumn
As summer ends and autumn comes, we notice this change because the days are getting shorter and shorter, and the trees "know" they have to get ready for winter. I love watching how the trees are changing the colors of the leaves.I use to drive to work, and on my way to work or from work ,I have been always fascinated by colors of the trees. Why the leaves are changing the colors? Why a maple leaf turns bright red,and where do the yellows and oranges come from. Chlorophyll is what gives plants their green color. Insufficiency of chlorophyll causes that the leaves are changing their colors.
Glucose is the product of photosynthesis.In some trees, like maples, glucose is trapped in the leaves after photosynthesis stops. Sunlight and the cool nights of autumn cause the leaves turn this glucose into a red color.The brown color of trees like oaks is made from wastes left in the leaves.
The combination of all these things make the beautiful fall colors we enjoy each year.

Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden
The oldest beer garden in New York City is 100 years old. Since 1910, Bohemian Hall has been a part of New York City history. This is the last original remaining Beer Garden in all of NYC. I remember the first time I had entered this place . It was eighteen years ago, and I was concerned that this is a place which is gonna die very soon. There were just four people with me and a bartender. The place was very slow, but after restriction of smoking in bars and restaurants, this place started be very popular among a smokers and beer lovers. You can easily fit over 1000 people in there. The garden is surrounded with 15 feet high stone walls and beautiful trees behind them. Especially in the summer time place is packed with the people and there are very long lines to get in . Miracles happens all the time, and this is a miracle that the garden didn't die.
